If after a worst-case scenario you still find the place attractive, you can consider it someplace that you will more than likely enjoy year round.

Golfers will want an adult community that centers on golfing, while those who prefer to stay at home may prefer a community that offers classes in a variety of crafts. If you and your spouse have different tastes, look for a community that offers a variety of activities.

For many people, cost is another factor that needs to be considered when making your decision. If you are just beginning to plan for retirement, you will want to start making financial preparations now so that there are no surprises later on. Those retirees that have not planned for the costs of adult communities may find them difficult to afford on their new, fixed incomes.

This will be a lot easier once you have narrowed down a basic location that you are considering.
